Wheatgrass Detoxification - Help the Body Take Out the Trash

Posted: Jan 25, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

Wheatgrass is a plant rich in vitamins, enzymes, chlorophyll and other nutrients which make it an ideal diet supplement. It can be used in many different ways and for different purposes but one that is very beneficial is wheatgrass detoxification.

Usually, our bodies do all the work. We don't even realize the scale of it. Lungs, kidneys, liver, lymphatic system and colon work 24/7 to get rid of the numerous poisonous agents our bodies are bombarded with constantly from the air we breathe, food we consume, water we drink and even radiation from electromagnetic fields called "electro-smog" that spreads from each and every electrical appliance and device.

While young and healthy, we tend to take such things for granted. But over the years, as we grow older, our body's ability to filter and remove these toxins fades and it starts to build up waste resulting in loss of vigor, energy and ultimately illness.

Wheatgrass detoxification is highly suggested since it has the capability to make your system more alkaline. The body becomes acidic because of all the stress and junk food. Wheatgrass detoxification coupled with drinking ample fresh water can make our system more alkaline. However, it can cause side effects that include: nausea, diarrhea, headaches, stronger body odor and flu-like symptoms. You see, our bodies alter step by step so the symptoms may vary accordingly everyday. You might be strong and energetic one day but the next day, you will be weak, nauseated and depleted. These are just indications of better health ahead. These symptoms are perfectly normal and should subside in a couple of days. It is important to go slow in the beginning. One ounce of wheatgrass juice a day and then gradually increasing the dosage so that eventually you build up to three ounces a day.

In conclusion, wheatgrass juice can hasten and bolster natural body detoxification process. It will make you feel energized and healthy and it's dirt cheap to grow your own.
