Question

A: In some cases the answer is yes. Many drugstores and department stores have a selection of eyewear that you can simply purchase over the counter. While these are mostly single vision reading glasses, in a limited number of frame options, you may find something that works out perfect for you. As for going to at opthamologist, optician or optometrist office in order to select your own frames and lenses, you will likely need a prescription for those as otherwise the distributor will not know what strength to make your glasses.
