A: I suggest getting a general contractor in the area that is reputable to look at the property with you. If you don't know one look on Angie's List, Servicemagic or BBB. If you do not get someone to look at the exact condition of the house, you will guessing at the cost. Depending on age and condition of house will change the price dramatically. Codes change every three years in electrical and your local jurisdiction could have some more stringent requirements. It is better to be safe than sorry.
