A: The 3 core skills you need are related to learning Adobe Dreamweaver, where you need to understand html mark up language and cascading style sheets, then you need to be able to edit and configure graphics, this time using Adobe Photoshop and finally it is a good idea to know how to use Adobe Flash for dynamic graphics.

Other than that you may find that learning and understanding Java and PHP scripting could be quite useful, or perhaps an alternative scripting language like aspx. These latter skills are more for website development than design. But I am sure would be quite useful to you if you want to design and develop websites professionally.
