I started out on the West side of Rochester, on used car row West Ridge Road. there, I visited several of the small, specialized used car dealerships that the area is known for. I quickly discovered that, while these small shops had a decent selection of clean, low mileage cars and trucks, there was a wide variation in the level of service. These dealerships have good reputations, excellent service departments, and really good selection. Even though I didn\'t make a deal there, I wouldn\'t hesitate to recommend any of them.
Next, I headed over to the East side of town, near the village of Fairport. I visited a dealership with an excellent reputation, Hoselton. I experienced professional treatment and found a couple of vehicles I liked, but unfortunately they just weren\'t in my price range.
Finally, on the advice of my uncle, a consummate used car buyer, I visited Valley Cadillac-HUMMER on Winton Road. On my own, I might never have thought to visit there, because they are a luxury car dealer, and I don\'t consider myself a luxury car buyer. If that\'s you, I urge you not to let that mindset keep you away from Valley. They treat ALL buyers like luxury car buyers, and it\'s a wonderful experience, I can tell you. I found a great car, at a great price, and their service was second to none.
