Herbal Skin Care: the Natural Answer

Herbal skin care is a big business, but that means a tremendous amount of products to wade through in order to find one that actually works for you.   Though the healing properties of herbs are well known, not every product which claims to be natural or herbal based can live up to that definition.  The trick is in finding the real thing.

Many products that claim to be all natural are, in fact, made up primarily of synthetic ingredients.  Though they purport to provide herbal treatment for the skin, they can in fact cause more damage than they prevent.   Only products that contain at least 50% natural, plant based ingredients can truly be considered organic or all natural, so carefully checking the list of ingredients is crucial.

Truly natural products, made from a carefully balanced combination of plant based ingredients such as avocado and macadamia oil, shea butter and vitamins provide thorough and effective skin care for all skin types.  Herbal skin care offers a safe, gentle, healthy alternative that can treat skin from the inside out for a thorough and lasting effect.

By including vitamins and other natural antioxidants, organic products can work to rid the body of harmful free radicals and other toxins, allowing for deep healing and even reversing the signs of aging.   In most cases, herbal treatment for the skin can leave you looking and feeling healthier and it can even promote the production of collagen to restore elasticity and soften dry skin.

Natural oils such as grapeseed oil and jojoba oil also prove effective in herbal skin care.  A powerful antioxidant that works to retain moisture in the skin, grapeseed oil is particularly effective in treating the delicate skin around the eyes.   Jojoba helps to balance out the skin’s natural moisture, soothing dry skin and ridding oily skin of excess secretions.

Any true herbal treatment for the skin will contain only natural ingredients, including natural sources of fragrance and organic preservatives.   On the other hand, most popular lotions that claim to be natural include synthetic fragrances and parabens that contain harsh chemicals.  While claiming to heal the skin, these products can actually be causing damage.

Before you begin to use any product, always be sure to carefully read the list of ingredients so you know exactly what you are getting.   For truly natural, healthy herbal skin care, you need to be sure that whatever you put on your body will be safe.   Always read the manufacturer’s information thoroughly and be sure any product you use has a full money back guarantee.

The choices of skin care products are almost infinite, but not every product will necessarily work for you.  If you are concerned about getting the most healthy, natural herbal treatment for your skin, take the extra time to make an informed choice.  If you go the truly natural way.
