There are many forms of anti aging skin care treatment to choose from, surgery or non surgery. Cost and recovery time are factors that people will consider when deciding on the type of anti aging skin care treatment.

Micro dermabrasion has many advantages over other anti aging skin care treatment available. This method uses a special dermal wand with a diamond tip that is rubbed across the skin. While the device is doing so, dead skin cells are sanded off and vacuumed into the wand. The result is a newer layer of healthier skin, which is free of dead cells and of wrinkles. The micro dermabrasion procedure takes only half to one hour. To achieve best results, it is recommended that patients come back for four or more sessions after every two weeks for maintenance.

The average cost for micro dermabrasion is about $1,200 per session. The benefit of this anti aging skin care treatment is that it only takes a short time. Beauty magazines even term this as the “Lunchtime Peel” because they can go out and get microdermabrasion, and be back in time for work. There is no downtime, and normal activities can be resumed after the treatment. Usually, mild redness will occur after the procedure, but this is only temporary.

Micro dermabrasion is an excellent alternative for patients whose skin is highly sensitive to certain chemicals and not suitable for chemical peels. It is also an ideal procedure for people with uneven skin pigmentation. Consult with your dermatologist to determine if you are a good candidate for micro dermabrasion. The results will be rejuvenated skin that is more glowing, and also firmer.

It is vital to always maintain good skin care, including sun protection, cleansing, and moisturizing after the micro dermabrasion procedure. The best results from micro dermabrasion will be achieved   after several sessions, as many patients say.
