Have you ever wondered how those little wrinkles around your eyes and mouth were formed? Smiling and frowning are the first things that come to mind, I am sure. But that is only a part of the story. I mean, we all know, as we age, that wrinkles are inevitable, right? Yet, do you really know the process that leads to the "crows feet", forehead wrinkles, and "frown lines"? I am going to share with you what I have learned about the causes of wrinkles, and what you can do about them.
Wrinkles are caused by a few different things, one of which is the destruction of collagen. Collagen is the protein in the body that is present in all connective tissue. It is very flexible, yet also very strong, and is a main component of ligaments and tendons, and also the tissues in our face. They help to give our skin its elasticity, which allows it to stretch, yet bounce back into position.
Hyaluronic acid is also an important component of healthy, young looking skin, as it is essential to maintaining the elasticity, smoothness and tone of the skin. As we age, the enzyme hyaluronidase breaks down hyaluronic acid, which leads to the undoing of the "glue" that holds elastin and collagen together, eventually causing the destruction of collagen.
But, what if you could find ingredients that could cause your body to grow more collagen? No, this is not the stuff of science fiction; it is very real and very exciting. Now, you can actually fight some of the signs of aging with an ingredient that actually forms collagen.
The ingredient that you want to look for is called Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK is a patented form of Functional Keratin, extracted from the wool of sheep. This gentle process allows the keratin to be more available to the skin. In laboratory studies, this ingredient has been found to actually stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin in your skin. Over time you can watch the fine lines and wrinkles begin to disappear.
There is a second ingredient, that works together with Cynergy TK to help stop the destruction of collagen, and that is called Phytessence Wakame. Phytessence Wakame is actually a type of sea kelp from Japan. This amazing plant has been used for hundreds of years in the Japanese diet to help fight the signs of aging. It actually inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase in the breakdown cycle of hyaluronic acid.
Now this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot more to know about what causes wrinkles and what you can do to have younger and healthier looking skin. If you go to my website, you'll find a lot more useful information there, on the ins and outs of natural skincare.
