While a balanced diet helps, you also need your rest, too. Get as much sleep as possible - at least eight hours a day. If you get the right amount of sleep you will not be as stressed. What many people might not realize is that chronic stress speeds up the aging process.

Along with increasing your risk for cancer, smoking dehydrates the skin and reduces the nutrients in your body that help to enhance your skin. But you can nourish your skin to repair some of the damage no doubt caused by unhealthy living.
