If you are an ardent antique owner and collector, than an appraiser, rather an antique appraiser plays a very vital and crucial role in your antique life. He is the one man who

situates the worth of your valuable and dear antiques.

Thus, choosing, selecting and getting a perfect and good appraiser is of utmost importance. He must own the required skill, knowledge, experience and like qualities.

Above all, is must be on good terms with the party, he’s dealing with. Rather, their must a good mutual understanding between both the parties.

There’re times, when thoughts of owing something valuable crosses your mind; the first thing you ask is, “what its worth?” You need not be a great antique dealer or an appraiser yourself, for this. But here are some of the leading follies, that one is likely to make; Prior to appraising. That must be avoided totally.

Just learn and practice some simple, follies that you must absolutely shun. And once you learn not to make such blunders, there you become a master in your field!

1) Entering and asking the antique dealer” what’s this worth?” the first silly question. The set reply being “how much do you want for it?”

2) Selling the items or articles to the same individual, whom you ask to examine and evaluate. This is the second blunder following in the queue. Buying it cheap, selling high is of the means of their living.

3) Quality, not quantity. Quality, being the major essential, don’t go on buying stuff, just because they re aged, old or mature. Thinking it to a true antique piece. The superior its condition, the more is its worth.

4) Wasting time in finding the value of your antique. For reason that, it is only the price or worth as much as single is ready and eager to pay for it. even if the price guide says, that your antique door handle is worth $120, but if none pays the same amount, then its only a sorry state of affair.

 

Remember not to make such silly follies and blunder, while appraiseing your precious antique articles. Consider each and every cautions, dos and don’ts. Always assume and start with a high price for your article. Don’t always underestimate your priceless antique objects.
