Buy Russell Outdoors Mossy Oak APXG2 Hunting Apparel at Archery Country Online

New for 2009 is the Russell Outdoors APXG2 Hunting Apparel. The APXG2 has 5 levels of clothing which work as a layering system and allow the hunter to have a comfortable weather resistant outfit.

The Level 1 system has 2 different baselayers to choose from which give you outstanding moisture wicking anti-microbial protection. This is perhaps the most important part of a good layering system because it actually pulls sweat away from you body which keeps you much warmer in cold conditions. It is equally important to wear moisture wicking garments in hot weather because it will keep you more cool from the evaporation of sweat from body.

The Level 2 system consists of a fleece base layer which can be worn over the Level 1 baselayers or by itself. This baselayer will give you more warmth than the Level 1 layers, however, it still has the moisture management and anti-microbial protection of the others. This should be worn when the outside temp is below 30 degrees and you expect little activity.

The Level 3 system has the Zephyr garments which are a lightweight, multi-directional stretch, single layer soft garment. It is wind resistant and can be worn alone or as a layering piece. The Crosswind garments are a heavyweight fleece that can also be worn as a layering piece or worn alone in cooler weather. They also have the ScentStop anti-microbial treatment.

The Level 4 garment is the Gale, which is a waterproof and wind resistant stretch fabric that is great for times when precip is falling. It can also be worn as a midlayer to provide great protection from the elements.

Level 5 consists of the Cyclone rain gear with waterproof breathable properties. This garment is very lightweight and can be worn over any of the other layers to provide maximum waterproof protection. The Whiteout garments are insulated with PrimLoft insulation and will keep you warm through any conditions.
