Whether you actually believe in them or not, the truth is that people everywhere are intrigued by the possibility of alien life forms visiting our world. Some people will swear that they have been visited by, abducted by, or have witnessed aliens and their space craft. It is one of the most talked about unsolved mysteries of our time.
Archeologists have discovered many places throughout the world that seem to lend some credence to the possibility that our planet has been being visited by aliens for thousands of years. Pictures that were etched in stone surfaces so long ago appear to resemble those of spacemen and their ships. Of course, no one can actually prove whether these images are what they appear to be or not. Many people also believe that the Holy Bible contains several references that might be interpreted as speaking of alien things.
The number of supposed sightings of alien spacecraft all over the world has prompted a number of satellite and cable television shows that can be seen on The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, and The Science Fiction Channel.
Many of these programs are based on the stories that surround mysterious circumstances such as those that have been told and retold about an incident that is thought to have taken place near Roswell Air Force base in New Mexico back in 1947. It is believed by some that an alien ship crashed near there and that alien bodies were recovered both dead and alive and taken to this famous Air Force base.
Whether they are confirmed believers or not many people love to watch the television programs that deal with information concerning unidentified flying objects and their occupants. Ufologists, as they are being called now, probably never miss a new show that comes out. There is also much information about this topic that can be researched over the internet.
The X-files television series, while it did not deal solely with extraterrestrial themes, was extremely popular to television viewers when it first came on. It first aired in1993 and ran for nine years, ending in 2002. The show dealt with many paranormal subjects, but some of the best loved episodes were towards the end of the series when detectives Mulder and Scully dealt largely with the alien issues. This show was viewed in many countries and its reruns are still very popular.
To think that there are other life forms visiting us can be a little scary to think about. That may be the reason that so many people refuse to believe that they exist. What they do not believe in can probably not hurt them.

Wireless connectivity for my laptop
By: vivek | 02-10-2008
What is the difference between a usb modem and a data card/pc card ? are they 2 independant ways to connect to the internet? That is , if i get a data card for my laptop , will i still need a usb modem to connect to the internet? Secondly , all new laptops are "wi-fi enabled" , doesnt this mean that they have inbuilt wireless adapters n hence dont need a usb modem or data card for wireless access.. Would really appreciate it , if someone could de-mystify "wireless connectivity " for me :)

AOL Mail Won't load
By: Ibar | 01-10-2008
For the last two days now (9/29 and 10/1) I can't get AOL Mail to load when I attempt to access via Internet Explorer. I get the main AOL page. I can get to the mail log-in page. Then a long time elapses. The screen tells me it's attempting to load. One of the silly graphics comes up (like tape recorder) but nothing else.
I've tried to go to the basic version as well but can't get anything to happen.
I've tried accessing from three different computers (2 pc's and a MAC) all in different locations and I cannot get to my mail.
What have you done to the system, AOL?
