Tenpin’s Top Tips!

1. Comfortable?

Make sure that the bowling ball is not too heavy as this will slow you down and prevent you from guiding the bowling ball in the direction that you want it to go in. Ensure that you have grip that feels comfortable and allows you to release the bowling ball with ease.

2. Don’t be scared!

Upon releasing the bowling ball, don’t stop as your arm reaches the side of your body, following all the way through will provide you with enough precision and power to guide the ball down the alley.

3. Don’t trip over!

Keep the arm that you are not using extended. This will help keep you stable and prevent you from tripping over! Although this may make your fellow bowlers laugh and you may find it slightly embarrassing it does work!

4. Think before you move.

Take smooth steps up to that all important swing, keep your hips and shoulders squared with the pins and just go for that strike!

5. Focus now!

Look straight ahead and focus on those bowling pins and watch out for the black foul line, one step over this and your pins down don’t count to that overall score!

Have Fun!

Watch your bowling buddies, cheer them on and have a laugh. You may even pick up some techniques along the way.
