Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare : Just How Modern Is It?

Yet again Infinity Ward brings a new sequel of the infamous Call of Duty series but this time it is not about World War II any more!

For those who have played the entire series of the Call of Duty games you know that the previous games had a certain style to them. That style was to follow the characters through their journey of the World War II. The new Call of Duty 4: Modern warfare by Infinity Ward is brought to you in a whole new modernized way! During the game you are now following a tightly narrated structure that is quite appealing to most types of players.

You find yourself feeling as though you are really a part of the game. You could almost swear that the plot for this game is taken right from the headlines of the daily news. Call of Duty 4 touches on several hot issues such as the missing Soviet era warheads, the fundamentalism of the Islamic and so many other issues. This was quite a surprise to me, especially since I was not really expecting very much from the story itself. I was pretty stunned with the fact that I was hooked on this game just after a few minutes of game play. I find that because the plot is show in scenes that are placed in a first person perspective, it was much more exciting and held my attention a lot faster than other games that are set up differently.

A great part of Call of Duty 4 is the fact that you seem to grow attached to those soldiers in the game. These are the guys who are fighting along side you and even though they might just be players in a video game, the sense of a tight relationship builds as all of you look out for each other and fight along side each other.

The only complaint I have is the fact that you can't pass out orders to your teammates. This is however over shadowed by the fact that the other soldiers have the capabilities to hold their own during battle and at times excellent greatly on their own. I did find myself a little lost in the game a few times and unsure of where to go but when that happened all I had to do was watch where my teammates were headed and I followed them into battle. They really can be a great asset to the whole experience of playing Call of Duty 4 , They provide essential help during the missions and even if I can not give out orders, the fact that they saved my butt several times during the game well makes up for that!

Overall, I think that Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360 is a great game that will surprise those who are unsure of playing it. For those who love the game this is just one more reason to love Call of Duty all over again.
