DVD Rip TechnologyNew technology means new experiences for us. And DVDs are exactly that - a new way to watch our favorite movies, TV shows and anything else with a completely new level of quality. However many advantages the DVD technology has like video quality, sound, compactness, it has one disadvantage - it's not very durable. That's why you have to backup your DVDs from time to time. Now this doesn't mean you should it every month. But once in a while you'll have to or you're going to lose your favorite DVD. But don't worry - there are literally 100s of software programs out there that will do all the work for you. You'll be able to copy your DVDs to CDs, or DVD to DVD. Heck, even VHS to DVD or CD. But there's one problem here as well - not all software programs are created equal. Some are geared towards the PC nerds. And when you check out a few of them you'll agree with me that this is the case with most of them. It's really hard finding one that's really simple a press-one-button-and-you're-ready kind of software. Now, even when you find one simple solution it's still not certain if it'll fit your needs. Because basically the simpler the software program is the less functions and worse quality it has. So that's basically the dilemma you're pretty much bound to experience. It all depends on what you really need the end product for -- if you'll be watching it on a TV picture quality is probably not that case so much because you won't be able to see the difference on your TV. But otherwise you better check out your options carefully before making a decision. Go to the search engines (no need to scan through every one of them - just your favorite will do) and make a search for DVD copying or DVD ripping software. You should find quite a few. Read the reviews and make your decisions. Most of them offer free trials so you'll even be able to test them without spending any money whatsoever. My advice to you is to ask a few friends (especially if you have some more experienced ones) or go to Download.com and read what the experts have to say. Maybe even buy a few PC magazines or visit their forums online (most of them have) and ask what would people recommend you based on your needs and experience. Happy Ripping!
