How many magazines are popular in your home town? One or two? A few? Not in Florida. Magazines total 30+ and I'm sure I missed a few!
Subscribing to Florida magazines, if you are thinking about retiring here or buying a second home here, is a great way to get to know a town or a region. If you already spend the winter months here, subscribing to a magazine keeps you abreast of things going on while you're at your northern home.
Isn't a magazine great entertainment for very little money? For a dollar or two you get to spend 1, 2 or 3 hours each month reading interesting stories about things that you care about and things that entertain you. Personally, I look forward to receiving my Oprah and More in the mail each month. I live here and like to keep abreast of what's going on so I subscribe to Florida Trend, Gulfshore Life and several others. I'm always aware of what's going on which makes for scintillating conversation!
