They moved to Dallas in 1993 and that is when they got their new name- Dallas Stars. The team is a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League.

A Brief History

The early 90s saw a steep decline in the Dallas Stars tickets or the North Star tickets as they were known as. Finally in 1993, the team moved to Dallas, Texas and were renamed the Dallas Stars. In 1999, the Stars won their very first Stanley Cup after defeating the Buffalo Sabres. The team again made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 2000, but lost to the New Jersey Devils. In 2001, the team moved to a new arena, the American Airlines Center. Black, green and gold are the team’s colors. The Stars logo consists of a green star outlined in gold.

The Dallas Stars have a great playing record and they are a team to be reckoned with. That is why Dallas Stars tickets are always sold out, irrespective of where they are playing. Besides winning the Stanley Cup in 1999 and reaching the finals twice, the Stars have won two President’s Trophies, won seven division titles, and two Western Conference titles. And this has all happened in the past nine seasons.

2007-2008

And they should be able to make it big with Dave Tippet as the head coach. The team now has players like, Brad Winchester, Todd Fedoruk, Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow, who is the captain. If Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow remain injury free in the 2007-2008 Season, the team has real good chances of winning the Stanley Cup again.

This season the Stars would be taking to the ice to play against some of the best teams in NHL. St Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Buffalo Sabres are some of the teams they would be facing on the ice.
