Who doesn’t know Hannah Montana? She's the fictional character from the hot Disney channel series that has invaded many girls’ fantasies – not to mention spawned dozens of commercial products and popular websites.

Hannah Montana, a TV series that debuted on March 24, 2006 starring Miley Cyrus, became a hit with millions of girls all over the world. Because of its popularity, it has been nominated for an American Emmy Award. Miley Cyrus, the girl later known as the subject of Hannah Montana, was born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee. Miley first attended Heritage Middle School but now with her hectic Hannah Montana life, she has her own tutor. She is born to parents- famous country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Cyrus. She has two older brothers, an elder half sister, a younger sister who is now an actress, and a younger brother. "Miley" was a nickname acquired during her younger years as she always had a constant smile on her face.

Prior to becoming the Hannah Montana celebrity that she is now, Miley Cyrus moved to Toronto with her family when she was 9. She had her first Hollywood contract to play a girl named Kylie in her father’s TV series, Doc. After that, she auditioned for Disney when she was 11 and was later cast to play Hannah Montana when she was 12 because of her energetic and lively act that showed her as person who "loves every moment of her life." Miley did her first Hannah Montana performance on June 22, 2006 at the Disney Typhoon Lagoon in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Hannah Montana Update: A Movie!

Coming up this April 2009, the much-loved Disney TV series Hannah Montana will be shown on the big screen! The Hannah Montana Movie is eagerly anticipated by millions of fans all over the world. Though it will not be a Disney Channel Original Movie, many are just as excited to see the feature-length film shown in movie theaters. The movie is said to focus on the plot of having Miley overwhelmed by the popularity of her alter ego Hannah Montana. And with help of her father, another celebrity, she will find herself involved in a shoe fight. Robby or Billy Ray Cyrus will work on returning her to Crowley Corners, Hannah Montana's hometown in Tennessee for her to reflect on the happenings of her life. Though she prefers to be Hannah Montana the celebrity, her father would no longer allow her to be.

Miley will be romantically involved with Travis Broody (Lucas Till) her childhood friend in her hometown. While her father will also be romantically involved with Melora Hardin. According to spoilers from various websites, Miley will experience problems with the local citizen Mr. Granger who surprisingly has an idea about her two identities. The movie plot is so interesting and will definitely capture the heard of young girls who avid fans of the American hit series Hannah Montana.
