Sony’s PSP is a wonder device in the gaming world. It has so many unique features and one of it is to use the Internet just we do on the computer. That is possible because of the inbuilt WiFi connectivity. It is mainly used to upgrade softwares and download games on to the PSP. But it also gives us the option to go a step further.
The first and the most important necessity is an internet connection. Be it from a wireless router at home or from a public WiFi hotspot.
The Ethernet cable which is connected to the DSL or Modem which is in turn connected to the telephone line is the most common home set up. In this case to connect the PSP to the internet one needs to connect a wireless router between the computer and the DSL or the modem.
And if you don’t have an internet connection at home then you need to find a WiFi hotspot that would be quite easy to finding a medium or big city but really difficult in a small town.
Your PSP would need WiFi access and its wireless networking protocol is 802.121b. Hey! Just hold on, you don’t need to freak out, it’s not that technical as you think. This protocol is the world’s most famous protocol. All you need to remember is a few steps and this protocol number after finding a WiFi hotspot.
Most people completely freak out and get frustrated when it comes to a bit of technical stuff, even if it is just a few steps. Just calm down and take a while to think. This technical stuff isn’t any kind of rocket science, it is just a few easy steps to follow which even a child can follow.
All you have to do is just remember and follow this order:
1.Have a confirmed internet connection.
2.Open network settings and start a new connection in the infrastructure mode.
3.Open WLAN settings and start a scan to search a perfect access point.
4.Select a non-encrypted access point.
5.Check whether the connection is working.
Now you can enjoy browsing the internet on your PSP.
