It was when she turned up at the music launch of her film 'Chocolate' in an itsy bitsy, green backless outfit. She sent the paparazzi crazy behind her, all running over each other for a picture of her bare back.

Ideal Bachelorette: Miss India 2004 Tanushree DuttaBut Tanushree believes she is an ideal bachelorette. Why? She has reasons enough to believe so, and to convince others too. "I am a normal bachelor. I hang around with my friends, I do some bird watching, and I am career oriented, like any normal girl my age would be", she reasons. Though not every girl her age would be surrounded by people, the way stars are. Tanushree knows it too. And admits that it sometimes it bothers her too. Never unnerves her though. "It bothers me, because I am a very private person. And I feel my privacy is being invaded when people keep staring at me most of the time." How does she manage all the male attention then, one wonders. Considering that she was a Miss India, and is one of the hottest stars in tinsel town now, surely there must be a long list of men ogling at her. "I enjoy the male attention I get", says Tanushree gleefully, and quickly adds on a serious note, "but I am careful too at the same time. I don't want to invite trouble, because as I said before I am a very private person."

The world is an artist's critique. Being an actor, Tanushree is not new too criticism nor compliments. But wouldn't it be interesting to know what she likes and dislikes in herself? Let's start with the qualities she admires in herself. "I like my attitude to take life as it comes. Then I am hard working, and sincere too", she says. Now for the qualities she dislikes in herself. "There is nothing I dislike about me, simply because I wouldn't be who I am, if I'd change anything in myself", says the rising star diplomatically. "I think I am a wee bit short tempered and impulsive though", she says after a little prodding.

Though the lass insists she has no intention to tie the knot for another 8-9 years (which is not such a long wait for die hard fans, after all, is it?) "I would want my man to be mature, understanding and to give me ample space in every aspect of life. Also a good sense of humor is a must." And turn offs? "Bad breadth is a major turn off", shrieks Tanushree. "I am very impressed with chivalrous men", she says in the same breadth. Women mature earlier than women. And Tanushree wants a mature man! "I think so too. In most instances I've seen, a woman is far more mature than a man", she cooes.

That is not all. Just one more criteria. "A man has to be well dressed too. They say clothes maketh a man. The first impression has a lasting impression. Not the last impression, but it is the first impression that is always there in your mind. I may change my opinion about a person after meeting him on other occasions, but you never know, there may never be a second chance, sometimes", says Tanushree philosophically.

"I guess it is more practical, considering that I would like to continue with acting after getting married too", she states. "My priorities will change, but I believe a woman should always keep herself busy and not be dependent", she says in a matter of fact tone.

Considering that she wants to pursue her career after shaadi too, would she prefer a spouse from the industry itself? "I honestly haven't given it a thought at all, but it all depends on the tuning between my partner and me. The rest is immaterial", she declares.

So what are you waiting for. Now that you know exactly what to do and what not to, you'd better scrub your teeth, start exercising your grey cells, grow up (she likes mature men, remember), hire a stylist, and above all brush up on your sense of humour as well.
