Do the multi Satellite dish really work

Well I already have the DishNetwork here on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Communications with DishNetwork on the mainland is useless as they really are not interested if you are having a problem or not.  For years I was paying for HBO but not getting all of the channels.  Can't remember if it was 2 or 3 HBO channels that we can not get here in Hawaii.  It is the same problem with any of their pay services because you need another dish for another satellite to receive the missing channels.  Even with the 150 channel service there are missing channels which require another antenna but dishnetwork doesn't want to get involved.  Today I was surfing the net and noticed there is such a thing as one dish that can receive 2 and 3 satellites.  I would be interested in something like that but also would need to know some more information like how to power the LNB's with one receiver.  The other question is do these multi satellite dishes really work.  I have one of the first receivers that DishNetwork came out with and I am satisfied with it but I guess I would be interested in changing it also in order to receive all the channels that I am paying for.  Any and all information on this subject will be greatly appreciated so I can make a sound decission.
