She's nineteen, beautiful, talented (scouted by agents for modeling and theater when she was only 16 years old!) and seems to be the latest IT girl and fashion icon of the fashion brat pack world - Elleai D'Amore appears to have it all; Good looks, intelligence, popularity, charm, and a knack for scoring major campaigns with Old Navy, Louie Verdad and Calvin Klein.
But it seems the life of the young and beautiful Elleai hasn't come to this successful point with some major set backs. Theres the problem with drinking, the drug abuse, the anorexia, the distanced relationship with her parents, being the victim of torturous school bullies, and if that wasn't enough to deal with, just this year, Elleai became the center of a suicide tragedy involving Cam Laken (a 22 year old college student who suspectedly fell in love with Elleai and ended his life because she did not feel the same way) and her status as a potential role model for young girls as questioned.
Relatively new to the entertainment industry (although her overwhelming popularity during the height of her modeling career - which ended because of her devotion to school, and suspectedly because of her unhealthy body weight, subtance abuse and relationships with much older male models - suggest otherwise) Elleai is having a rough time re-breaking the glass wall between B-List and A-List celebrity.
The 'parental committee' of the entertainment industry fear that despite her down to earth personality, her morals and her determined animal activism, Elleai may not be an appropriate role model for the pre-teen, teen and young adult audience as she entails and could potential promote unhealthy behavior.
Oh you mean, sleeping with bad boys (or in her case, making out with bad boys,) hanging out at rock venues, looking super hot all the super time and drinking?
During an interview in 2006, Elleai admitted to her 'struggle with herself' but would not name specific battles. Although her school records indicate troubled eating, drinking and drug use patterns, Elleai has never confirmed nor denied the rumors.
