By chance, if you’re not already aware, Sudoku Village is also a community forum that conducts an online ‘Daily Sudoku Puzzle Contest‘. The Competition began April 18, 2006, and has been running till date. You must be eighteen years of age or more to particpate in it. Entry is absolutely free, and it carries a Cash prize of $5, payable to the winner through PayPal. The one who solves the puzzle correctly in less than the shortest REASONABLE elapsed time will be awarded the prize. A participant can win no more than once per week.
Puzzles in the ‘Daily Sudoku Puzzle Contest‘ could be of any level of challenge. Very Easy, Difficult, or anything at all, by whatever name you may call various grades of Sudoku puzzles. Every puzzle must be solved online (not solved offline and copied onto the grid in the contest page). Solving a Sudoku puzzle in a reasonable time for the puzzle is an indication that the participant may have used automated aids to complete the Sudoku puzzle and such participants run the risk of being disqualified. Participants who cheat run the risk of having their entries ignored - the detailed rules will tell you how.
