Every kind of animal in the world will hold an interest for someone at some time in their life. Whether it is the pets that we adore and love at home, or just visiting the zoo with our children, animals have always touched our lives in one way or another. We are simply fascinated by the many thousands of species that there are and the individuality of them all.
Many times when we ride through the country, we can catch glimpses of these many creatures in there wild environments. We can see deer crossing the roads that we use to travel on and are amazed at the graceful way that they bound over a field back into hiding. Seeing squirrels at play in our own back yards and the birds that visit the feeders that we put out for them, can give us a certain amount of joy on an almost daily basis.
Those of us who live in places where we can observe these sorts of animal activities are lucky. Many people who live in urban areas must travel to state parks to see wild life in their natural habitat. The other way to get to observe these animal life styles are to watch the many wild life programs that are available to us on television. The majority of these are available for viewing on cable and satellite channels
One of the first really successful wild life programs was Wild Kingdom. It ran from 1963 until 1971. National Geographic Specials aired in 1965 and can now be seen on PBS. The Discovery Channel hosts a variety of programs concerning wild life. Animal Planet is a network of The Discovery Channel and is all about animal subjects and species. Meercat Manor is an adorable show about these cute little creatures, but it does depict some of their more beastly habits as well.
We are all beginning to understand the important roles that wild life plays in our world. While we watch the drastic changes that we as humans are making to the environment that wild life needs to survive, it is easier to understand what we could be doing to our own living environment as well. While we are watching the many species that have been and continue to be on the brink of extinction, it is more obvious that we must make some changes in the way we are treating our world, not only for their sakes, but for our own as well.

Wireless connectivity for my laptop
By: vivek | 02-10-2008
What is the difference between a usb modem and a data card/pc card ? are they 2 independant ways to connect to the internet? That is , if i get a data card for my laptop , will i still need a usb modem to connect to the internet? Secondly , all new laptops are "wi-fi enabled" , doesnt this mean that they have inbuilt wireless adapters n hence dont need a usb modem or data card for wireless access.. Would really appreciate it , if someone could de-mystify "wireless connectivity " for me :)

AOL Mail Won't load
By: Ibar | 01-10-2008
For the last two days now (9/29 and 10/1) I can't get AOL Mail to load when I attempt to access via Internet Explorer. I get the main AOL page. I can get to the mail log-in page. Then a long time elapses. The screen tells me it's attempting to load. One of the silly graphics comes up (like tape recorder) but nothing else.
I've tried to go to the basic version as well but can't get anything to happen.
I've tried accessing from three different computers (2 pc's and a MAC) all in different locations and I cannot get to my mail.
What have you done to the system, AOL?
