WoW Mining can be disorienting when starting out. But even so, it's still one of the best Professions to start off with. That gave me the idea to write a series of articles dedicated to the Mining Profession to make it easier for WoW gamers to get a hang of it quickly. Let's start out with what skills you get, secondary Professions needed, what equipment you need to have, and where to find trainers for the Mining skill. Alright, let's go.

WoW mining comes with the two additional skills of Smelting and Finding Minerals. You will get to choose a secondary profession, for mining these are the best secondary professions:

* Blacksmithing

* Jewelcrafting

* Engineering

These Professions need materials that you can only get through Mining, because of this they make excellent secondary Professions and will help you immediately. If you don't have the Mining Profession you will need to buy the materials and that costs a pretty penny. If you combine any of these skills with WoW Profession Mining in an effective and well thought out manner you can profit big time. Do some research on the other Professions to create an effect plan.

Well first things first get yourself a Mining Pick, yeah I know, obvious. Once you get it you will need to train in the Mining skill. Now don't go out there like a chicken with its head cut off trying to find each one, I did the work for you. Here is a list of mining trainers and where they are located:

Zone - Name - Location

* Azuremyst Isle - Dulvi - Azure Watch

* Darkshore - Kurdram Stonehammer - North Auberdine

* Dun Morogh - Yarr Hammerstone - Eastern end of Kharanos

* Duskwood - Matt Johnson - North Darkshire

* Howling Fjord - Jonathan Lewis - Vengeance Landing

* Howling Fjord - Grumbol Stoutpick - Valgarde

* Dalaran - Jedidiah Handers - Dalaran Commerce Exchange

Get the Gatherer add-on and the GathererDB add-on. Gatherer will track and document where you find nodes for future Mining, and GathererDB gives you all the latest node locations. These two add-ons are going to be the difference on whether you succeed with the Mining Profession. These are both huge time saver. Just do a search engine query and you'll find where to download them. Don't worry, it's a totally legit add-on.

There it is, that's a quick way to begin your World of Warcraft Mining Profession. Now all you need to do is get your skill level up.
