Major Art Galleries to show Great Western and Indian Master Painters at India Art Festival

The India Art Festival, a mega art fair, slated to be hosted in November at Nehru Centre, Mumbai is a great opportunity for art lovers and art collectors to visually relish the artworks of Indian and western Master painters under one roof.

The Art Festival will be showcasing 200 master painters work from 40 different galleries participating in the India Art Festival from all over the globe.

The ‘Geopolitical Child' and ‘Invisible Man' an original litho works by Salvador Dali will be on display in the festival. This colossal surrealist painter's work exudes complex feeling on life and environment. Another western master painter Patrick Hughes will be represented in the show by his "Around the Corner" - the three dimensional Painting that highlights architectural labyrinth.

In the Indian Masters Nandalal Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, M.F. Husain, S. H. Raza, F. N. Souza, V. S. Gaitonde will adore the wall of many gallery booths in the upcoming India Art Festival. The renowned artists that will be showcased in the exhibition includes Akbar Padamsee, Laxman Shrestha, K. H. Ara, Sudhir Partwardhan, Jogen Chowdhury, Anjolie Ela Menon, Bose Krishnamach, Ganesh Gohain and many others. The total artists exhibited in 116 stall will be over 800 paintings, sculptures, photograph and prints.

The India Art festival will also be hosting educative seminars for Art collectors and Art Lovers. The art festival will be the first art fair of it's kind in Mumbai that will bring together art collectors, art galleries, artists and art connoisseurs on the common platform making it interactive experience for art community. The renowned artists, art critics and art collectors from Mumbai,Delhi, Kolkata, Bagalore will be the part of seminars to be organised in the India Art Festival. More than one Lakh people are expected to visit the festival.

About INDIA ART FESTIVAL

INDIA ART FESTIVAL, a modern and contemporary Art Fair, is scheduled to take place at Nehru Centre from November 17 to 20, 2011. It aims to provide a cultural bridge between Indian artists and art galleries, art collectors and connoisseurs, with an objective to create a dialogue that would introduce a fresh perspective and buoyancy among passion investors and art collectors.

The artworks including paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs and editions as well as video and digital art by over 400 artists represented by various galleries would be on display at India Art Festival. The Festival is slated to be hosted at Nehru Centre , spanning over two floors in a large area of 26,000 square feet, with 94 stalls showcasing the work of various galleries and individual artists.
