Pygmalion Broadway Tickets- Wouldn't it be Lovely?

Pygmalion Broadway tickets have been in high demand, ever since the play first hit the stage. The story of Pygmalion is one of those timeless tales that appeals to all ages and to people from all walks of life. It's hard to imagine that this very story was based on the original tale by Ovid. Even today, Broadway brings out some of its very best, to put this play once again on the stage.

Thank You, Mr. Shaw

If it were not for the great English playwright George Bernard Shaw, Pygmalion would never have been the classic play that it is today and there would not be such a rush for Pygmalion Broadway tickets. While it is based on the original story by Ovid, it is Shaw who masterfully incorporated the aspects of the English class system and its power struggles. He also made it timelessly humorous, so much so that audiences can still appreciate its wit today. Shaw took it upon himself to direct the play and it opened in London in 1914. This however, was not its first performance- due to a number of issues, the English premiere was delayed, and so, Pygmalion was first staged in German in 1913.

As with most of Shaw's work, the play deals with the English class system and the struggles and mishaps that occur, when two classes of people collide. In this instance, Henry Higgins is not only a wealthy man, but also a very intelligent and well-educated man. This is best shown in the way he speaks- not only is his accent polished, but he also has a way with words. On the other hand, Eliza Doolittle is a poor girl with a Cockney accent burned deeply into her tongue. She has a good store of street smarts and is a spirited girl. While Higgins is indeed the teacher here, he finds that she has a will of her own, which he has absolutely no control over.

A Worldwide Favorite

One of the reasons why there is such a demand for Pygmalion Broadway tickets is the international appeal of the play. The play abounds in wit and humor and people of any culture can follow the story of a domineering man, trying to create an elegant woman and even make her fall in love with him. If people are lining up for Pygmalion Broadway tickets, it is because the play is a classic.

Even though it is a very English play, theatergoers like to catch the Broadway treatment and snag Pygmalion Broadway tickets when they can. This is mainly because a number of big names are often tied to Pygmalion revivals. From veteran actors like Peter O'Toole to young actresses like Clare Danes, appearing in Pygmalion is considered a privilege. The legendary movie, My Fair Lady, that catapulted Audrey Hepburn into fame is an adaptation of Pygmalion and is famous for its immortal musical numbers.

Pygmalion is a production that will appeal to both veteran theater goers and novices to the Broadway experience. If you do not feel like waiting in line for tickets, you can contact and authorized online ticket vendor and book your Pygmalion Broadway tickets from home.

Free Singing Tips, Singing Instruction- Learn The Simple Secrets Of Singing Higher And Higher

By: Gen Wright | 08/12/2009
As a singing teacher, I receive many questions concerning how to increase the high range. This seems to be on every singer's mind, and for good reason; a great number of songs are written to carry the listener through lower sections (usually the verses) into the climatic choruses, which usually contain one or two notes which tax many singers and cause them to sound strained and uncomfortable. This obviously takes a lot away from the overall power of the performance. What to do about this?
