History of Valentine's Day
There are many stories about the origin of Valentine's Day.
One of the most important are the history of Saint Valentine, who lived during the reign of Roman Emperor Claudius. Claudius never allowed the young men of his empire to marry because he thought it would reduce their commitment to their work. But Valentine was against his notion. He stepped forward and encouraged young couples to marry. But when the emperor came to know that he was sentenced to death.
