Finding new and interesting ways to decorate a home or office is always a challenge. A classy painting by a well known artist will always complement the style of a room. A beautiful art print can have the same effect, bringing elegance and style to any space. Our customers can choose a poster from a famous artist or one representing a theme. A magnificent way to renew their surroundings.

Where do you find your artists?

Many of our artists are represented by publishers worldwide and we have access to their collections via these reputable and prestigious publishers such as Rosenstiel’s. Arty Prints also represents and publishes the work of emerging artists and graduates sourced from Art colleges and exhibitions all over the UK. An example would be William E Rochfort who was exhibiting at the College of Art in Kingston. We could immediately tell that William was worthy of investment and this has proven to be the case.

Why do you think collectors should consider buying a print over an original work? Are there any advantages?

The number of people that have become interested in purchasing artwork is rapidly increasing. Original works of art are usually very expensive and hard to come by. High quality prints are also good investments, as their value increases over time. If the print is part of a limited edition collection, chances are that its value will grow considerably.

Many people have a distorted conception about what a print is. More and more people have come to appreciate that art prints are valuable collectibles, of high quality and great beauty. A high quality print will increase in value over time and can represent a very solid investment. Museums all over the world have begun to feature fine prints acknowledging their unique qualities.

Nowadays, it’s not uncommon for a top quality print to be as valued as an original painting. Valuable art prints are made in limited numbers and with the highest quality of materials and printmaking. In many cases, the printmaking process is overseen by an artist and even finished by hand and signed. The number of the print reveals its position in the limited series in which it was created. An early number in a collection symbolises a higher value of each print. For instance, the first three prints are high prized collectibles. Furthermore, the value of a print increases if the number of copies in which it has been produced is low.
