Article Marketing - at Last, a Free Step by Step, “how To” Guide (part 9)

Last time we installment we talked about getting started with article marketing, ezine lists, article directories, and the various forms of article submission. Now we are going to get into article content.

** Step 7 – Article Content **

Now that you have your products, web host, and autoresponder you might be wondering where you can get article content.

Don’t let the fact that you do not an English professor, have a degree in journalism, or have not spent your entire life creative writing discourage you. The fact is that writing attention grabbing articles is not easy but it’s not rocket science either.

One of the first things that you need to know is that the majority of the work is already done for you.

There are literally thousands of pages on the Internet about the specific topic you are writing about. All you need to do is run a Google search with your topic as the search criteria. You will find page after page of information about your topic.

Take some time and do a bit of reading on the topic. Once you have digested enough information then sit down and write a simple 300 – 400 word article about what you just read. I not suggesting that you cut and paste from the words of others to your article. Doing so is illegal.

Not only is it illegal, you do not want your article classified as duplicate content by the search engines or the sites to which you will be submitting them. Write articles from your point of view and express the ideas in your own way.

Reading books or magazines on the subject of your niche is also a great place for article ideas.

** PLR Articles = Loser **

There are many sites who will try to sell you or even give you “PLR articles” (private label rights) saying that you can just cut and paste them to article submission sites and rake in the cash.

NEVER use PLR articles.

The reputable article directories will reject them flat out and if you continue to submit them you could be banned permanently. PLR articles equal a bad idea.

The only real answer to supplying fresh new content is to write your articles yourself.
