Here are some quick-start instructions on how to set up your articles so that they are search-engine optimized.
1. Carry out a search for 12 keywords or keyword phrases for which closely represents the topic of your website and for which you have the inclination to rank on the first page of any search engine result. Twelve is a good number but if you want to be aggressive feel free to choose another 5 to 10 keywords.
2. Draft 12 article titles, one for each of your chosen keywords or keyword phrases.
3. Write 12 keyword optimized articles for each of your titles.
4. Upload all 12 articles to your website. When I did this exercise, I placed all the articles in a separate directory. You can call the directory anything you wish. Then upload each of the 12 articles to the directory to a separate page on your website.
5. Creating an index page for the 12 articles is a very good idea. The index page might look something like this: www.nameofyourdomain/articles/index.htm.
6. And then your articles could look something like this: www.nameofyourdomain/articles/article1.htm.
7. Once that has been done, you can focus your attention on writing separate articles for submission to the article directories online. It is important that you do not use the same articles that you have created for your website for publishing on the internet. Now, for these internet articles, it is important to include some text anchors.
Most article directories will not accept more than three, links so let’s go for three. Each text anchor should take the reader to a different page on your website.
8. If I have to identify one important element of all these steps, it would be the text anchor. The search engines make their decisions about the number of inbound links that are optimized for your keywords being received by your website. The success of your articles revolves around the text anchors.
9. The success of your article writing depends on you knowing how to create text anchors successfully.
