Closing Paragraph and Resource Box
Making use of a closing paragraph is completely optional, but if you choose to leave it our then you must have a strong resource box.
If you choose to use a closing paragraph use it as a summary of everything that you have discussed. I am not saying that you need to detail every point that you have already talked about. All you have to do is touch upon the main points.
Using the example we have used throughout this series of articles, Article Marketing and Lead Generation, here is what my closing paragraph might look like.
I could write an entire series of articles or even e-books on each of these steps, but at least you can now see the entire process in a nutshell. There is much more involved but these 6 easy steps are the basis for an entire article marketing business and top quality lead generation. Use these steps to grow your business and your profits.
Your closing paragraph should make use of a call to action encouraging the reader put into practice the concepts discussed in your article. It should also leave them wanting more information. This of course leads to your resource box where you offer an avenue to get exactly that.
Think of your resource box like prime real estate. It is a shame that more internet professionals do not think of it that way. This is the only place that you should be advertising in your articles so make the best use of it.
Simply saying my name is So-and-so – URL link will not go very far toward building your credibility or offering your reader more information.
This is an example of the type of resource box that I might use with my Article Marketing Campaigns:
So-and-so has been an internet professional for the past X years and has run several very successful Article Marketing campaigns. For a limited time So-and-so is offering his new product (insert product name) for Free. Stop by (insert website here) and grab your Free copy before this limited offer is over.
The key elements that I used in this example are:
1.) Speak in 3rd person. View the author credentials on a book by your favorite author. I am sure you will find that 3rd person is used.
2.) Build more credibility by speaking of your knowledge of the subject you are writing about:
So-and-so has been an internet professional for the past X years and has run several very successful Article Marketing campaigns.
3.) Offer a free product:
For a limited time So-and-so is offering his new product (insert product name) for free.
4.) Call to action
Stop by (insert website here) and grab your Free copy before this limited offer is over.
This article series is designed to teach the principles of writing the perfect article and getting results through the use of your resources box. I could literally write volumes on these subjects but at least you now know the basics of what it takes to succeed in Article Marketing. Get out there and use what you have learned and help your business prosper.
