Could You Be An Article Writer?

It is no secret, or maybe it is, that in the world of Internet Marketing one of THE best ways to get traffic for your website and business is to write quality articles on topics that relate to your niche, business or passion and then submit them to article directory and submission sites which can get you massive exposure.

This exposure comes in the way of your article being published and indexed in the search engines, so if someone is searching for say; “the best place to go wine tasting in the Livermore Valley wine country, California,” and you just happened to have written an article for that very topic because you own a winery in the Livermore Valley Wine Country, and you also have a fancy Flash website for your winery, your article will show up in the search engines and your happy future customer just found you because of it!

In addition if Leslie Wine Reviewer has a blog on quality wine and wineries and is searching for a quality article on wineries in The Livermore Valley Wine Country for her weekly blog post, and she goes to her favorite article publishing website and does a search for this topic, up pops your article, which she promptly publishes on her blog giving you and your wonderful winery more massive exposure when her blog post goes out to the thousands of wine lovers that subscribe to it and they see all the information on your winery; including the physical address, your website address, phone number, etc. in the credit section of the article and immediately plan to visit you this very weekend! Get the picture?

Article writing is king when it comes to getting your word out and the search engines love quality content.  In addition if you are searching for quality content for your own blog or website you will find that content for virtually any subject or topic you can think of on the article sites and the only caveat is that you give credit to the author of the article by including an “Author Resource Box” which is usually provided by the author.

Writing articles is not as hard as it may sound. First off if you have a website on a particular niche or business model or are passionate about something odds are you are already an expert on the topic or business. Who better to write a quality article on it than you?

All you need to do is write down a concise “story” about your niche, topic or business. Most of us are natural born storytellers. Think about it for a moment.  How often do you tell a friend, family member or co-worker an accounting of something you did over the weekend or experienced on a vacation, all the time right?

More so how often do you tell people about something you are passionate about scrapbooks or other hobbies, your pets, a sport you love and on and on. You “write” verbal articles everyday!  Well are you not just as passionate about your Internet website and/or business? Of course you are and I’ll bet you tell plenty of stories about them so why not turn those stories into articles?

Keep in mind that people love to hear stories and write your articles like you are telling a story but include important facts about the product or business, a history of it and so on. Just be careful that you don’t make your article sound like an advertisement and do not include links or phone numbers, etc in the body of the article or it will be rejected by the article publishers as being too commercial. As mentioned above you will have an author resource box to include those vital bits of information.

All in all article writing, if done correctly, is pure gold as a source to get the word out about your business. Check out some of the various article directories and read articles that others have published to get a feel for how it should be done then sit down with you favorite word processor and give it a go! I promise it will become easier and easier the more you do it and the more often you see your articles in published form.
