Ottawa's Worst Lawn Competition
Now that summer is here, do you dread what lies underneath your once snow-covered lawn? Maybe one of your neighbors needs a friendly reminder that their lawn is not as attractive as they might think. If you or your neighbor's lawn wasn't a pretty sight last summer, chances are the Ontario winter didn't heal the scattered brown spots - or worse – that infestation of grubs!
With community beauty and local property values in mind, Instant Lawns.ca, Ottawa's newest and most professional landscaping company is holding a friendly competition to find Greater Ottawa's worst lawns. After finding the worst of the worst, we'll deliver Instant Grassification to Ottawa's most disheveled lawns this spring with the help from our friends at Manderley TurfGrass, Expert Irrigation, Landscape Depot and Green Unlimited.
To nominate your neighbor's eyesore – or to nominate your own – simply log visit worst lawn site picture or video of the lawn with a short caption and from there it is up to the public to vote which lawns are desperately in need of a makeover. Closing date for nominations is 31 July 2010.
Think you got what it takes to win first place in Ottawa's worst lawn competition? Show Us! First place will receive an entire front lawn re-sod (up to 5,000 square feet), two garden bed installations (up to 200 square feet), a front lawn in-ground sprinkler system and a year-long lawn maintenance package, including, three fertilizer treatments in the fall, one fall aeration and one fall grub treatment, if necessary (approximate value of $10,000).
Second and third place winners will receive an entire front lawn re-sod (up to 5,000 square feet), and a year-long lawn maintenance package, including, three fertilizer treatments in the fall, one fall aeration and one fall grub treatment, if necessary (approximate value of $6,000).
