Why engineers excel in article marketing

The field of article marketing by way of writing articles to promote web sites and submitting them to quality article directories is becoming increasingly popular nowadays. While this seems to be an internet marketing phenomenon, the process of promoting products and services by way of writing articles and publishing them has existed long before the advent of the internet. In prior decades, marketers used to publish their articles with subtle directions to their products and services and submitted them to print media such as trade magazines and such. With the article directories of today, the allowance of placing a link pointing to the web site of the author in the resource box is a more direct reference to their products and services.

In all cases, the success of article marketing campaigns is only as good as the quality of the article submitted. Poorly written articles seldom generate any interest and the marketing campaign really will not generate any positive results whatsoever. In this field of article marketing, why do engineers excel so well is the treatise of this article. Engineers one would imagine would not do nearly as well as professional writers that have had formal training and education in the field of literature, languages and the arts. Contrary to this general thought, engineers do seem to do very well in the field of article writing. The following paragraph addresses the main reasons why professional engineers become excellent article marketers.

Engineers by training like to deal with facts. This aspect of their training leads them to write articles filled with facts and figures. Visitors to web sites that come from search engines are generally looking to solve a problem or gather some information about specific topics and engineers supply facts and information in their writings, thereby solving the needs of the visitors. Engineers tend to be concise in their explanations and since the general article marketing concept involves writing short length articles instead of articles that may span eight or nine thousand words, engineers have an edge over other professionals in transmitting their thought in a relatively short essay. Engineers use sharply focused words rather than long descriptive language that may be subject to too many interpretations. This helps in the development of articles with targeted keywords and search engine friendly information. These three reasons are the main focus of quality articles submitted to article directories and quality articles written for individual web sites and the engineering training that one may receive goes a long way in accomplishing these tasks very effectively.
