One of the best available techniques to advertise your online business is through article marketing. It works much better than placing classified or solo ads. When you place a solo ad, it will work for you only on the day that it is published. But your articles can benefit you for months or even years to come. And the best part, article marketing is free if you write them yourself.

Many people have trouble getting article directories to accept their work. There are many reasons for this. Most large directories receive hundreds or even thousands of submissions each week. They want quality articles, but unfortunately, they do not have the time to make corrections on the many articles that they receive.

To increase your chances of getting your articles accepted, make sure that you check it with a good spelling checker. If you do not have access to a good spelling checker, you can find good alternatives online. At Spellcheck dot net, you can paste your article into their online form and have it checked for both grammar and spelling. They also have an excellent online thesaurus. A thesaurus is used to find words with similar meanings. Instead of using the word “technique” twelve times in your article, the thesaurus will give you alternative words for “techniques.” And the best thing about it; there is nothing to download and the service is completely free.

Another way to increase the chances of getting your articles accepted is to have a friend proofread your article. Sometimes it is difficult to proofread your own articles because you know the work too well. Your friends will easily find mistakes that you missed. They will read your article just like a typical viewer from one of the article directories. Ask them to give you their honest opinion. It won’t help you get your article accepted if they try to spare your feelings.
