Online Marketing in the New Year - How to Get Millions to Read Your Articles and Website

Do you want your written material to reach - and more importantly - to be read by the maximum number of people possible?

Yep, so do I.

And, please bear this in mind, folks - it is NOT easy.

Of course there are many ways to market your articles. To leverage the power of the "Word" (no, not Microsoft Word), there are several points you need to bear in mind when marketing your stuff.

Below I will outline some of them, and the rest will be in a follow up article coming very soon.

1. You have to love to write. I am already thinking about the next article, series of articles, blog entry - you name it. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night!

2. Practice makes perfect. The good news is - writing articles is addictive. The more you write articles, the easier it is to write articles. From not even being a sparrow's heartbeat on the Internet radar a while ago, my name is now starting to spread across the search engines like an MLM marketer's dream.

3. High volume of output is important. The more you write articles, the greater the chances they will be read on the sites you post them, and also on the sites which pick them up and repost, via whatever means (pings, Facebook, all that crappola). Warning! Some unscrupulous users of your precious content will fail to include your backlink – so that is another reason to maximize your output. The old "it's a numbers game" holds true!

4. Resist the temptation to outsource your article writing. Don't hand some semi-illiterate laptop slave in Bangladesh some funky key-words and expect miracles. Even if you get a bunch of articles for hardly any money. So what if you have a gazillion articles in cyberspace? If nobody reads them, what's the point? I have been shocked to hear from colleagues about the totally unreadable garbage they have received from these so-called deals. It makes you want to cry! So - be interested in your product, and write the promotional material yourself (remember I said writing articles wasn't a walk in the park!).

5. No inspiration? If you cannot write - or think you have exhausted the options for writing articles about the umbrellas you are selling - then engage someone local to do the article ghost-writing; then at least you can keep an eye on what they are doing. If the quality drops, hire someone else.

6. Keep abreast of developments. Read all the hints and tips you get in newsletters from the sites where you post your articles. Many of them give you outstanding advice, so read them quickly before discarding them to the wastebasket. There are often gems contained in there.

7. Make your articles easy-to-read summaries. By the same token, they must contain useful information, original in content and attractive in style.

You may not get millions of readers, but if you do the right things on a regular basis and keep working hard, then it might just happen.
