Pivot Reinforced Stainless Butt Hinges for Heavy Use Doors

If you have doors in your business or facility that get jarred or banged into often, you may find that they often work loose from their hinges and require repair. You can prevent this problem by using a pivot reinforced butt hinge. These hinges combine the strength of a butt hinge with the stability of a pivot that is anchored to the door frame.

Although this type of hinge costs a more than traditional hinges, they will save time and money in the future since you will experience fewer hinge failures on the door. Stanley 3 knuckle pivot reinforced hinges come in a number of designs to fit almost any type of door, including solid wood, hollow wood and metal, doors with square edges and those with beveled edges.

One of the benefits of Stanley hinges is that the pivot and butt hinge are combined in one compact interlocked unit and share the same pin, ensuring perfect alignment. In addition, interlocked corners prevent the hinge or pivot leaves from twisting out of position – just what you need on a door that gets handled roughly. Stanley calls these hinges “shock-proof” due to their ability to withstand jarring and abuse.

These hinges fit both left hand and right hand installations and are sold in sets which include the middle and bottom hinges necessary to work with the top pivot and butt hinge. Finish options for this line of hinges include polished or plated steel, steel primed for painting, polished bronze, plated bronze, painted bronze, and satin finish stainless steel. As always, the hinges are covered by Stanley's limited lifetime warranty.

Contractors can view the door and installation requirements at the Stanley corporate Web site or contact your online Stanley Hinges retailer for more information.
