Plastic and Fiberglass Blowers and Fans by Canada Blower

Canada Blower Co. is a major supplier of plastic and fiberglass fans and blowers for industry applications where aggressive media must be moved. Plastic fans include polypropelene, PVC, PVDF, fire retardant and UV resistant PPs.

Applications for Corrosion and Chemical Resistant Fans include:

* University, Medical Research, Defence Labs, Fume Hoods OEMs, Pharmaceutical Labs

On most campuses there is a certain number of fume hoods that are used for various acids testing to break down materials for analysis. HCl and Perchloric Acid are the ones used most commonly. Fume hoods and Chemical resistant fans are needed.

* High Technology Semiconductors, PCBs, and Photonics

Chip makers use acids to clean metal before they mount thin film on the metal upon which they lay circuitry.

* Printed Circuit Board Industry

FRP fans are frequenly used for clean rooms.

* Waste water and Sewage Treatment Plants

Hydrogen Sulfide builds up (H2S) in sewage plant facilities and causes an odor problem that has to be treated. Depending on the size of these stations corrosion resistant fans are needed. This gas can also be very volatile and will require explosion proof motor and static grounding of the fan housing by graphite impregnation that Canada Blower can provide too.

* Salt Air and High Humidity Environments

Any facility near the salt air is also a good place for plastic fans and the humidity will eat through metal fans.

* Steel and Wire Manufacturing

As the steel comes in and sits at these plants impurities and scale develop on the steel or the wire that needs to be cleaned off before the wire or steel can be properly worked with. Acid baths are needed for this and the corrosive fumes coming off these aced baths are highly corrosive...

* Stainless Steel and other Metal Production Facilities

In tha annealing and Pickling process acid baths are used to strip scale off the steel after the annealing process that smoothed out grain patterns that may have formed during the annealing process. Later on acids are used again to support oxidation.

* Chenical and Petrochemical Industries

* Jet Engine and Power Plant Turbine Manufacturing or Servicing

Molted Salt tanks are often used here to descale metals coming out of hot furnaces. Pickling and cleaning of titanium which is used in Jet engine parts also utilize acid baths as does nickel plating.

* Electroplating and Metal Finishing

These industries use fiberglass fans and fume scrubbers.

* Scrubber OEMs and Designers

FRP fans are standard components in fiberglass srubber designs.

* Industrial Galvanizers

* Printing Press Service Shops

* Chromatography

* Food Processing

Often in the food processing industry they wash equipment down with acids and other corrosives. Also they use fans for the humidity that builds up from the drying process of foods.

* Pulp and Paper Industry

Pulp and paper manufacturers are very wide users of fiberglass and other plastics fans for their boilers, exhaust and filtration systems.

Canada Blower fans are the finest quality blowers available for efficient movement of corrosive, humid, or polluted air, gases, and fumes. These fire-retardant and corrosion-resistant plastic fans are specially designed and especially suited for hostile applications where coated metal blowers typically corrode. Cnada Blower fans are proven thoughout the world and clearly recognized for superior quality, reliability, and efficiency.

High-efficiency impellers result in low power consumption, operating costs, and quieter operation. All metal hardware is completely sealed from exposure to corrosion by incapsulating into FRP or plastic; the steel support frame and motor base are powder coated with a corrosion-resistant finish. In addition to being highly resistant to chemical corrosion, PP fans are self-extinguishing and will not support combustion.

Canada Blower fiberglass fans housings are manufactured from premium grade, fire resistant resins that provide excellent corrosion resistance in most chemical environments. Canada Blower FRP impellers are made of premium vinyester that combines corrosion resistance with structural integrity under the stress of rotation.

Tough applications mean tough fans and blowers by Canada Blower. Canada Blower is a world wide distributor of industrial process ans OEM fans and blowers, as well as fan / blower components; including high pressure blowers, high temperature fans, spark resistant and explosion proof ventilators, tubeaxial and vaneaxial high pressure ventilators. Canada Blower also does existing fans and blowers repairs, re-build, as well as dynamical wheels balancing.

The Wide Variety of Fire-Fighting Tools Offered By The Chubb Fire Extinguishers

By: Bennett Glover | 15/11/2009
We all know what fire extinguishers are. They’re those red metal cylinders designed like gigantic grenades or oxygen tanks with a hose of a nozzle. We see them all the time in movies and TV shows being grabbed from behind a glass that says “Break glass in case of fire” and sprayed all over mantles of flame until they dissipate into nothingness.

Air Curtains for Large Buildings Doors

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 17/09/2009 | Education
The idea of having an invisible barrier across the doorway to enable unimpeded access yet effectively prevent temperature flow, dust, odours and insects to cross, is appealing in itself but add to this the cost-saving in reducing energy use and the idea becomes more compelling, especially as air curtains are relatively inexpensive items. Appropriate for industrial applications Keeping warm air out of insulated cold stores or refrigerated facilities

Local exhaust ventilation systems are designed to capture airborne chemicals at the source of generation and remove contaminants from the work area. When a local exhaust system does its job your workers are healthy and productive.

Heavy Duty Industrial Process Air Curtains

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 14/09/2009 | Health
An air door or air curtain is a device used for separating two spaces from each other, usually at the exterior entrance. The most common configuration for air curtains is a downward-facing blower fan mounted over an opening. Normally this opening is an entrance to a building, and the air curtain is intended to help keep flying insects out by creating forceful turbulence. It also helps keep outside air out, avoiding cold drafts by mixing-in warm air from the air curtain.

Air Blowoff Systems for Industry

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 11/09/2009 | Business Ideas
Blower and fan units used in tank, blender, and conveyor tube drying can reduce drying time by an average of 50% compared with natural air drying. They are almost always a direct-drive design in order to minimize size and cost. However, an in-line electric heater must be added, and this ultimately raises both the cost and total power consumption. The final assembly still must be compact enough to mount on a portable cart to easily service multiple mixers, and this portability requirement limits

Air Curtains by Canadian Air Systems

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 10/09/2009 | Causes & Organizations
Air curtains are widely accepted across North America and Europe as a standard fitment in public buildings, retail stores and industrial applications such as coolers, freezers and cold storage facilities. Air curtains are generally associated with retaining heat energy in cold climates, and the energy savings are substantial.

Air Make-Up by Industrial Air Handling Units

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 15/06/2009 | Health
Makeup air is vitally important to the health and welfare of a building and its occupants. If the proper amount of makeup air is not introduced into a space, consequences can range from exterior doors that are hard to open or close, to buildups of carbon monoxide in the space, to fume hoods that don't actually control the contaminants they were intended to control.

Industrial Direct-Fired Air Handling Units

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 12/06/2009 | International Business
Direct-fired units utilize air that will be sent to the heated space for combustion without use of a heat exchanger. The products of combustion are mixed directly with large volumes of outdoor air. Such mixing is considered safe because of the high dilution ratio.

Industrial Air Handling Units for Air Temperature Control

By: Oleg Tchetchel | 04/06/2009 | Kitchens
Direct Gas-Fired Heating Systems may be built in a number of configurations. They may be curb mounted as horizontal rooftop systems with down or horizontal discharge or in a vertical configuration for mounting on a pad outside of a building, with air ducted to the interior. They may also be located inside a building, suspended from hangers or mounted on support steel. Various manufacturers can supply any physical configuration required.
