What Are My Obligations In A Paid To Drive Program?

Posted: Nov 30, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

If you're investigating a paid to drive program, you may be wondering what your monthly obligations will be in order to receive your payment from the advertiser.  While each program is different, all programs will outline their requirements in detail when presenting the contract to you. Here are a few items that are fairly standard in a get paid to drive contract.

Most contracts are based around your average monthly mileage.  The advertiser wants to ensure that your vehicle has been driven the predetermined number of miles.  Some companies will have a contact that meets with you at some point during the month to record your mileage while others require documented proof with from a maintenance bill or even digital pictures.  It's very important to be honest about your monthly mileage during the application process.

Another common requirement is keeping the vehicle clean and reporting any damage to the advertising materials.  Washing your vehicle at least twice a month is fairly standard although some paid to drive programs will have an agreement with a local hand wash and actually pay for this to be done.

If the company offers you their own vehicle to drive at no additional cost, you will be required to take it to the designated service center for regular maintenance.  You generally will not be required to pay for any maintenance, oil changes or repairs but be sure to review the contract so there are not any surprises.

Before committing to a paid to drive program, be sure to review the contract thoroughly and seek advice if something is unclear.  Most contracts are straightforward but like in any Internet based business opportunity, it is better to be safe then sorry.  If you're looking for potential advertisers looking for new enrollees into their program, be sure to visit resource sites such as Drive Your Own Car.
