Astrology and events of Ratha Sapthami

As per the hindu calender, planet Sun is taking northward course movement on 30th of this month. Normally, it is described as ratham taking a turn and moves northward. Ratham means divine car. 

In astronomy, as everyone knows SUN moves between tropic of cancer and capricorn during the course of one full year. It is just science and scientists declare the events as natural and is a routine affair. But great sages all around the world thought otherwise and found cosmic changes taking place with SUN movements. 

It is the only Hindu temple namely great Venkatachalapathi temple of Tirumala, makes it perfectly as it is happening in the solar system. On the day being the 7th day from New moon day when SUN is in Capricorn constellation, it is deemed that divine car takes a turn as it moves northward. It is not only that it turns around, but also will ensure important events to happen during the six months period of the movement. 

These six months will be Month of Aquarius,Pisces,Aries,Tauras,Gemini and Cancer. The power of SUN ( the rays of SUN) will be physically and practically seen by everyone. This is the reason Sages used to say that GOD is awake during this period. On the day of this Ratha sapthami Tirumala temple used to conduct ratha yatras depicting that all the planets ( 7 Raths), will show up with GOD. 

One of my students asked me about only 7 mountains (representing 7 planets in the space) in Tirumala, and wanted to know whether this temple was existing prior to birth of two shadowy planets namely Rahu and Kethu?. Actually Lord Venkateshwara structure is such that Rahu and Kethu are positioned on his left and right hands. No where in the world Vishnu statue or any other idol has such sculpture. This is the reason that Tirumala is unique and has no parallel. Also, GOD Balaji made the globe to understand the importance of these two planets.

{ I have already written articles on these two planets ( Rahu and Kethu), that they have the capability and bestowed with such enormous powers, to ensure that person afflicted by these two will not be able to lead a normal life. Any amount of remedial prayers will be of no use infront of them. They will ensure the person suffers for life, without any remedy}.

On the day of Ratha Sapthami, (when as per tradition GOD will be conducting the events, will definitely safeguard the people, for  those who are sincere to HIM. During this period GOD also ensures cleaning up of the solar system , more particularly Our Mother Earth, where all dirty waters will get evaporated to form pure water clouds, for us to get rains for the future. Only if it rains properly, we can get good harvest and have our comfortable food for the world. Also drinking water is the essential component  cooling our body. These two are the most essential requirement for human life to sustain.

In addition, with GODs enormous powers (meaning rays of SUN)- are so great that neither humans or even planets can withstand, if SUN s rays pass on with its full potential. If one reads about my articles on SUN where many of astronomical details are given, it is easy to understand about SUNs great powers. I will repeat some important things for viewers. Planet SUN generates about 2.5million degree C at its core and its outer layer heat is about 8000 degree C. No one has any real reading of the temperature. These are only calculations based on its distance/light/heat. Imagine if such huge heat penetrates on the Earth?. Nothing will be existing. This is the kind of terrible power of SUN was visualized by our great sages and that is the reason they have made this day as important.

It is not only that we humans should pray to GOD that the next six months should be smooth,the natural events like ice melting/evoporation of water to form clouds should be such that, they do not destroy us. With prayer and pleading with HIM, Sages have shown the way that GOD indeed bless us with many advantages. They are as follows:

1. If prayer is offered with sincerity, then there will be rain during the period of peak summer to reduce the heat:

2. If Yagnas are conducted properly, then all the articles offred to Agni (fire), will come back to earth and people will flourish.

3. If GOD is cooled with many Tirumanjanams ( Abhishekam), Vasanthotsavams, then the enormous heat of SUN will reduce. so that we humans will not suffer from excessive heat.

There are many people who used to counter all the above points, by saying that it is not proved and no one can dictate terms to nature.

The reason for such statements are due to sheer ignorance of cosmic knowledge. sages used SANSKRIT language to decribe about cosmos. The rhythm and the way sanskrit is spoken itself will give terrible vibrations to a person. Unless it is studied and tested by talking to others, one will not realize its terrible vibrations.

Reading and understanding Vedas is a must to understand about how cosmic energy works and operates. The various sounds with which Vedas are chanted is the only way by which one can understand the energy flows into a person from cosmos. It is not that Vedas are being chanted now. Vedas are changed for milliions of years and there are no written books on its Raga/sounds. It is due to the divine grace that even today the same way it is chanted   as it was by our great Sages.

It is also worth to metnion here that Sanskrit is the only language which has never undergone any changes for millions of years. Like our Mother earth, sankrit is Mother of all languages now spoken in the world.

It is the sankrit vedas, which stresses the need for worshipping SUN God during ratha sapthami, is followed even now. Hence on this day  ( 30th of jan 2012), it is a must for everyone to pray THE ALMIGHTY for better summer and also good Monsoon winter, so that we continue to have smooth way of life.

Due to what is explained above, in Tirumala temple on that day we can watch all the 7 planets will be carrying the Almighty and pray for well being of our life. We shall also join them and pray THE ALMIGHTY.
