This is a discussion of the astrological time quality of September 23 to 25, 2009. But you can also gain insight into the general application and meaning of these Moon positions if you have them in your personal chart.
After the intense time with Moon in Scorpio, now with the waxing Moon in Sagittarius feelings are lifting up into a more confident place. Whenever the Moon is in fire sign there is an abundance of self confidence, which feels good, but also harbors the tendency to go overboard with a very self centered perspective and attitude.
Moon Astrology
The two and a half days the Moon spends in each sign throughout the month are mini cycles of learning and integrating different emotional perspectives. Using the Moon astrology gives us awareness for the emotional underlying tone of the present moment and a more compassionate attitude for ourselves and others. We become more aware of the constant change and impermanence we are faced with. We learn to be more flexible and in alignment with the universal forces instead of resisting and struggling.
It is also very rewarding to keep an eye on the aspects the transiting Moon will cast onto our planet and especially our Moon position in our horoscope. It will give us insight into mysterious changes in our mood without obvious outer cause.
Moon in Sagittarius with a Sextile to Jupiter
This Moon likes to get things moving and expanding. We will feel more ready to tackle challenging projects and get started on ideas waiting for us to manifest.
Sagittarius people are usually well liked in their gregarious nature and we all can have a little taste of it now. They truly care about others and the state of the world and like to contribute. They have a high energy level and are very passionate in their approach to life. They have wisdom to share and are always involved in one project or other. These eternal adventures are always on the go to new frontiers. It is never boring to hang out with a Sagittarius person or with the Moon in Sagittarius.
Sagittarians are governed by Jupiter who is considered a very fortunate and joyful planet in astrology. This is the best time of the month to expand and review our dreams and goals to a wider perspective. Whenever we expand, get excited and passionate about something we feel good!
We need to keep growing into a fuller potential, it is one of our basic human needs. If we feel bored, stagnant or unhappy with ourselves we might need to check if we have stopped growing and take measures to remedy that.
Moon is Squaring with Venus in Virgo
Moon and Venus are the two feminine actors of the planetary ensemble. Venus in Virgo likes things in an orderly way and has the need for reliability and commitment. Moon in Sagittarius needs her freedom and independence to go and have her adventures. We will have to find a balance between those two inside of us. Honest communication about how you feel in the moment with your partner might be the key for a friendly solution.
The Gemstone for Pacifying this Moon and Venus Combination is Morganite
Today I want to introduce you to a rarer gem we use in jewelry making because the Morganite resonates so well with our discussion. Morganite is a stone representing Moon, Venus, Neptune and Chiron energies. This part is taken from my book: Jewelry and Gems for Self-Discovery: Choosing Gemstones That Delight the Eye & Strengthen the Soul. Using gemstones to remedy stressful constellations in ones chart has a very long tradition in the Vedic astrology as well as the Western. I practice Western astrology and have over 30 years experience in the field.
"Morganite is the pink to violet variety of the Beryl family. This is the Divine Mother, a delight for our heart because it magnifies our ability to feel loved.
In my experience one of the root stressors basic to our human condition is that we don’t allow ourselves to be loved because of deep feelings of unworthiness, pain, and despair. We think, “If God loved me, he would not allow me to experience all this suffering, pain, and disaster. And if God doesn’t love me, how could anyone else love me?” Morganite brings us the message that we long to hear: that indeed God does love us. This message of God’s love becomes a deep inner spark of knowledge that sustains us in our search for a deeper, richer, more meaningful life—the longing for happiness and joy that is our heritage and our way home to our deepest selves.
Morganite is the queen among the heart stones. Its beautiful, noble appearance
raises up our spirit so we may start feeling love by sharing our love. We come to understand a simple truth: that whenever we express love by caring for the plants in our garden, our children, our pets, our friends, our neighbors, our fellow humans we are sharing love. Morganite reminds us that we are never truly alone, for we all have the capacity to give love and care."
