Moon Swims into Scorpio & Mars Enters Cancer & Mercury into Libra Squaring Mars (August 24 - 26, 2009)
With the waxing Moon moving into Scorpio our focus is more inwards and we are descending into our private inner world. The mood turns more somber and intense. Scorpio tends to extremes. The world is often perceived as black or white, good or bad and the emotional pendulum might swing fast from one side to the other.
The Moon is our Emotional Gauge
Watching the Moon making her way through the zodiac every month visiting all the signs, can sharpen our self perception and awareness for our inner processes and the fickle nature of our emotions.
One of my spiritual teachers Ananda Giri once said that if there was a way to measure spiritual advancement it would be the level of happiness one is experiencing. The Dalai Lama talked about the Art of Happiness in the book by the same name. Abraham Hicks is talking about the 3 steps to fulfilling our dreams and joy as the goal in life, because it is gauging where we are in our alignment with the non physical world.
I have been brought up as a good German girl with the following proverb which goes something like this; first the work then the joy. And I have been following that for most of my life. The problem with a life lived that way is that there was always so much to do, that I never got to the joy so it seemed.
Joy as a Spiritual Practice
Now I am in a place in my life, after many beautiful, spiritual awakening experiences where I make the awareness of my inner level of joy a priority in my life. I sense myself throughout the day, centering myself through conscious breathing, taking time for moments of emptiness and meditation. I still feel the impulse to move away from so called bad feelings, but it seems my willingness to be and feel wherever I am has established itself on a deeper level.
When you had the experience of fully experiencing what is, it seems to get easier from there. I am more compassionate and patient these days with myself. But then I move on! I use my thoughts to focus consciously towards where I want to go and keep the energy flowing that way as the Law of Attraction teaches.
Lunar Astrology
I am using the Lunar astrology to sharpen my awareness towards my emotions. Every 2, 5 days the Moon moves into a new sign. It is the fastest planet we keep track of in astrology. There is this subtle rhythm between the inner and the outer world. Each sign adds a new flavor and deeper perspective. With Moon in Scorpio be aware how you might become fanatic and driven in your activities. Be conscious of your need to control people and situations to feel safe and in power. Let go of your perfectionism and ask yourself if it really makes a difference in the bigger picture of your life?
Mars Enters Cancer
Mars is the warrior ruling the fiery sign of Aries and secondary Scorpio. When Mars is visiting the water sign Cancer, he is not a happy camper. His fire might get extinguished or he produces lots of steam. That could mean for us that we get easily upset, irritated or have feelings of anger and impatiens.
My advice; feel your feelings (that will already give you some detachment and distance) and do not take yourself too serious. Remember also this will pass!
Mercury into Libra with a Square to Mars
And then we will have a more diplomatic mindset available to us with Mercury in the social and harmony seeking Libra on Tuesday which might temper any going overboard the next day. Yet with the square to Mars and the Mercury Pluto square on Wednesday we might be facing criticism, anger and suspicion. Be conscious how words can be very hurtful and may even leave permanent scars if they are spoken from a place of angry reactivity and you are projecting your own perception as the ultimate truth onto the world or others.

Virgos, right in the middle of the zodiac, do not know how to slow down their minds and worries. Due to this reason, their health can suffer unless they learn to control their tendencies. The author takes a look at the Virgo sign and breaks down their health into fitness, diet, and skin care. To see what was said, read on further.
There are a few things you must know before you get a psychic reading
A Virgo man is very practical and down to earth. He loves to own the best of everything and he won't settle for less. Even if it means he has to sacrifice in order to save up, he will to get the best rather than settle for anything less. Virgos are very cautious and try hard to have everything planned out perfectly.
A Taurus man is a great choice if you want someone who is practical, steady, and values common sense. Taurans work hard to get what they want, and what they want are the finer things in life. You'll often see a Taurus admiring fancy cars and the latest gadgets. These men are very sensual, indulgent, and romantic.
Are you looking for a lover who is easy to talk to but doesn't mind if you talk to others? Someone who can hold a conversation about anything but who gives you the freedom to pursue your own interests? If so, you should consider dating a Sagittarius.
One of the sweetest signs that you could possibly date is a Pisces. These signs get along well with just about everyone, and are very forgiving. A Pisces loves structure, art, and the finer things in life. They value balance in relationships and work hard to make sure their partners are happy.
In Western Astrology this week is all about the energies of Aquarius with six Planets in this innovative sign. If you remember the song from the musical Hair: “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”, you know that Aquarians are such original thinkers, revolutionaries and nonconformists that they reshape the world for the better. They are not interested in how things have always been, but in a world of freedom and equality for all. They always have their eye on the future, not on the past.
Saturn Square Pluto I am discussing this constellation because it was exact on January 31 and we will be talking about it for some time because this is the second conjunction of these powerful players. The first one was in November 15 last year and the third and final meeting will be August 21, 2010. This conjunction is of high significance because both of the most feared and unloved astrological principles are involved with each other in a hard aspect.
Full Moon in Leo on Friday & Sun Opposition Mars A Full Moon is always a Sun opposition Moon and this month it is happening in proximity of the Mars opposition. The Sun is shedding light onto our emotions and life force drive, our assertive nature. Leo is a fire sign where it is all about the self expression, creativity, self image, joy, play and romance. The opposing sign of Aquarius brings the qualities of the well being of the collective, the supporting qualities of friendships and...
This week the biggest event is that two planets are moving hand in hand into Aquarius, the Venus and the Sun. The Sun in Aquarius will set the tone for a whole month and Venus for about 225 days.A conjunction between Sun and Venus is always depicting the yin and yang balance between the forces and the need to come to some form of equilibrium between the two.
The Solar Eclipse in Capricorn Speaks to your Soul! With a Solar Eclipse right in front of our eyes, we do know something auspicious is going on and we might feel touched by the magnificence of the universe and its mysterious ways of working.Twice a year, the Sun, Moon and Earth align exactly the way that the constant stream of radiation from the Sun is blocked and there is partial or total darkness. This is bound to have an impact on us.
Bringing Light into the Darkness It is very helpful for Capricorns to practice some form of meditation, Tai Chi, or yoga to slow down their mental activity and anxiety. Meditation with gemstones, especially Crystal Quartz, will especially appeal to Capricorns’ practical and concrete nature—it’s simply a matter of lying down and placing one or several stones on your body.
This Full Moon which is also a Lunar Eclipse squares the Saturn in Libra and opposes Sun, Venus and Pluto in Capricorn. The Full Moon itself is always a significant culmination and climax point of the month. The Moon in general is your emotional make-up and coloring of your perception of the present moment. Especially the Full Moons of the Lunar Eclipses are calling us towards the new and expansion of life. In order for that we need to release and let go of the old...
This is a very special and intriguing week of the year! When the Sun is entering into Capricorn we have the Winter Solstice on our half of the planet, a day which has been considered sacred and meaningful in many traditions. The Winter Solstice is the turning point with the year’s longest and darkest night. Then the days will get longer again and with it the life giving power of the Sun is gaining strength.
