Planets in Various Signs and Houses and Transits

Through the ages man when failing in his endeavours always want to know the reason of why he is failing in achieving his life goals may it be earning moneys or marriage or foreign travel, success , enjoyments. Some people just cannot enjoy life at all while some enjoy it to the fullest. I want to point here is that when the night is darkest , dawn is not far. Life is a like a jigsaw puzzle. one has to find his own way through it. life can also be compared to as a journey through the unknown . the way is sometimes happy and success is achieved without much fuss , but sometimes life become too monotonus and boring , failures at each step.

failures only make us more stronger . the heavier the blow the  less we will be stunned in future. Coming to the point there are total 9 planets (including rahu and ketu) . sun is the soul, moon is the mind, mars is ones strength, mercury is our communication skills, jupiter is wisdom , saturn is hard work, while rahu and ketu are mystical bodies. a persons vimshotti dasa is consist of all these 9 planets. lets say a person has sun in aries. you will say its good as its exalted. yes true but again there are various nakshatras in each sign. Each sign has 3 nakshatras. like in our case example sun in aries may be in ashwini nakshatra or bharani nakshatra or krittika nakshatra. each nakshatra has its own characteristics. ashwini is ruled by mars its forceful, light , marital while bharani is ruled by planet venus  , krittika is ruled by sun. then there are various gana of nakshatras. ashwini is deva, bharani is manushya  and krittika is rakshasha. sun in deva nakshatra will be kind and gentle . whereas sun in manushya nakshatra will be a mixture of being gentle and harsh. while sun in krittika nakshatra will be demonic. it means it will be hard in temperament and will be less affectionate.

similarly sun in other signs will also behave differently depending on which nakshatra the sun fall in. the degrees also play an important role in determining the strength of planets. some planets in some degrees are dignified by face or term or are at critical degrees. they are considered strong . eg. mars at 4 degree gemini is at critical degree of mars. its strong. and mars between 11 degrees to 19 degrees in gemini is in its own term so also considered strong. mars in various nakshatras impart the planets with different characteristics.

sun is strongest in aries , strong in leo , very well in saggitarius , ok in water signs (cancer , scorpio , pisces) but scorpio has an edge over cancer and pisces. earth and air signs are not good places for the sun. air signs communicate their soul desires but almost dont take bold steps. earth signs are depressed signs for sun. they are very materialistic only looking at their own selfish ends.

when we come to planet moon , moon is strongest in taurus as the fixed earthy sign ruled by venus does not let the moon fluctuate too much , its happy with its immeditate surroundings and are not emotional. moon is strong in cancer which is ruled by moon . As the moon becomes dark or bright the moods of cancer born also fluctuate. cancer is a very homey sign.

it loves home and public in general. they feel most secure at their homes, that what the moon represents. moon in fire signs , well they are self confident and get results but i have seen that fire is not conducive for moon as the mind can become easily agitated.  air signs for moon are much better than fire signs but they sometimes are very aloof to emotions. earth signs are equally good except for capricorn where  the moon finds itself in enemy camp. its called enemy because moon is mother and mother represents a very caring individual. moon in capricorn is very different from it. moon in scorpio is not at all good position for moon. these individuals feel insecure even in a lively place where there is not threat. they are always hiding themselves behind bushes.

lets come to planet mars. Mars is our strength. mars is considered well placed in all the fire signs. the best aries the not so best saggitarius. leo is in between. these signs are ready for action at an instant. they all love physical exercises and they are all dominating signs for mars. they have a feeling that nothing is impossible and they are all fearless to dangers.

they want to dominate so much that they disregard totally feelings of people who dont have mars in fire signs. mars in water signs are sensitive in nature, except for scorpio mars where mars show great strength of purpose , heroism , no fear at all, considers death as friend.

they will not pick up fights without thoroughly estimating their enemys strength. but when they fight they fight to the last without any fear. This mars placement is quite different than that of mars in fire signs who seem to dominate at any issue . mars in fire dont assess the danger before hand they simply plunge into danger to rout it.

mars in capricorn is another strong placement for planet mars. here mars is very structured because mars is dry in capricorn which is a cardinal sign and is dry , mars is very grounded in capricorn. it does not take impulsive action at all. but will gradually build itself. mars in capricorn is fearless too.

mars in air signs are poorly placed. they dont have courage . no seriously its true. they show mental strength but thats all. no they dont get into fights if challenged. they are all those people who gossip about war but dont actually take part in it.

i am skipping some important points here as i am short of time but i promise to fully write about other planets in detail. i am coming to transits.

Transits:-

when we study transits , we see the effects from the moon sign. eg. moon in scorpio sun is in libra. Count from scorpio to libra clockwise. The figure comes to 12. that means sun is transiting 12th house.
