Trying Times For Amitabh Bachchan- Horoscope Analysis

Amitabh Bachchan who is a cult figure in Bollywood, does not require any introduction. He is still one of the leading film personalities. He has a big brand value for the advertisement industry. Even at the age of 68 years, he is not in the habit of looking back.

Amitabh Bachchan was born on 11th October 1942 when Aquarius “Lagna” (Ascendant) was rising. His Sun sign as per the Vedic system is Virgo. Moon sign is Libra and Birth “Nakshatra is Swati 2nd pada”.

The current dasa (method of timing) running as per his horoscope is “Ketu / Mars” which started from 22nd July 2009 and will continue till 19th December 2009. The dasa of “Ketu / Rahu” will start thereafter and shall continue till 7th January 2011.

Mars, the “antardasa lord”, is placed in the 8th house which is the house of obstacles. Mars happens to be the lord of the 3rd house in his horoscope. 3rd house, as per Vedic astrology, refers to friends and associates. Friends and associates may bring disrepute to Amitabh during the running dasa of “Ketu / Mars”. Films released during this period may not do well on the box-office. However, the main area of concern may be his reputation.

In Vedic astrology, the 7th house of the horoscope is relevant for associations, partnerships, spouse and public reputation. The lord of the 7th house, in his horoscope, is Sun that happens to be placed in the 8th house. Sun also happens to be the “Atmakaraka” (placed in the highest degree of longitude) in his horoscope. However, Saturn is afflicting the “Atmakaraka” Sun in transit. Sun, in Vedic astrology, signifies government and government agencies. The current transit of Saturn is signifying action of Government agencies on him.

The problems are going to aggravate in the dasa to follow i.e., “Ketu / Rahu” which will start on him from 19th December 2009. Rahu placed in the 7th house may adversely affect his reputation. He may become a prey to political vendetta.
