Venus Steps into Gemini & the Moon Enters Capricorn: Promises of some Intelligence and Conscious Attunement with Matters of the Heart. (July 5. 2009)

Many people used the 4th of July holiday yesterday to get together with family and friends. Parties and celebrations were happening all over in a spirit of oneness, community, socializing and communicating with others.

Here in Hawaii many celebrations were happening at the beach with barbecue and music.

But with Mercury opposition Pluto celebration might not have happened everywhere without a hitch. Pluto always brings in the potential for some challenges, extremes, frictions and power struggles.

Today Venus Steps into Gemini & the Dance of Life

Now Venus moving into the light hearted Gemini will lift up our mood. Venus, the Goddess of love and harmony smoothes the path to connecting and communicating with more ease and a lighter spirit. Venus will be in Gemini till August 1st which means we will have some time to adjust to that flow and use it to our advantage.

Venus is the brightest planet, after the Moon, visible in the night sky. This is a most sensuous planet, associated with all of our feelings, passion, romance, sex, and marriage. In relation to beauty Venus is associated with harmony, balance, and all the arts.

She is ruling the sign of Libra where it is about intimate relationships and relating with others. Now this Gemini Venus wants to find the inner place of oneness and love and is more interested in what connects us, then what divides us.

She invites us to be light hearted and dance with the energies, expressing those feelings and let them move through us. Dancing is a wonderful way to be in the flow of life and receptive to the joy of moving our bodies in tune with the big orchestration of the universal flow.

Gemini: Inspired Communicator and Curious Butterfly

Gemini is ruled by Mercury and is an air element we call masculine. It is a very mental sign approaching life through understanding and verbalizing its thoughts.

Geminis have great minds! They are fast learners and interested in a great variety of topics, so they accumulate a large store of knowledge. Additionally, the have the ability to communicate their knowledge very well and make great conversationalists. They need the stimulation of moving like a butterfly from one thing that catches their interest to the next. This gives them flexibility—they don’t get stuck for long in one place and are always ready for a new challenge.

Venus in Gemini promises some intelligence and conscious attunement to matters of the heart.

Venus in Gemini will stimulate an openness to make new friends and allow new ideas and thoughts into our life. It is a good time to go out, socialize, sign up for that class at the community college you always wanted to do, open your mind and explore new horizons. It is a good time to catch up with your correspondence with your friends you have not connected with for a while. Call your parents today and let them know you love them! Express your feelings!

Relationship

If you are single and want to be in a relationship this month brings in the lightness and clarity necessary to enjoy the energy of new beginnings without the burden of expecting Mr. or Mrs. Perfect to appear right away. Be playful and enjoy the process of attracting the most wonderful person into your life. Every person you meet helps you to become clearer about what that potential mate should look like.

Suggestion

Sit down with your journal and make a list of all the attributes and qualities you are looking for in a partner. Do you have any preferences about how he or she looks like? What are the “must have” requirements?

When I used to be in between relationships I always enjoyed sitting down with my journal, writing down what I really wanted and needed from a potential new partner. It is very exhilarating and joyful to do!

Also looking back was always interesting in realizing how the universe would precisely accommodate my wishes. It also made me aware that what I had learned and integrated in my past relationships was laying the ground for the new one.

Now I am married for 14 years and I think I have learned to grow and change with my partner without having to leave him behind in order to grow and expand. Being in a relationship is an art and takes lots of conscious effort of truthful communication and the self-awareness of our needs to begin with.

With Venus in Gemini this month we will get help in finding clarity of purpose and then expressing our relationship needs.

Moon Enters Capricorn

At the end of Sunday Moon enters Capricorn preparing for the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse tomorrow. Moon in Capricorn will counter balance some of Gemini’s lightness and a more serious, somber mood. It wants us to take full responsibility for our feelings and needs.
