Make Music Beats: How I got started, and you can too

Posted: Dec 01, 2009 |Comments: 0 |

From the time I got my first computer, a dream of mine was to make music beats. For the longest time I had this idea on my mind, but I had no idea how to get started. Over the years, the lack of any affordable music beats software caused me to put the idea on that dusty shelf in the back of my mind. I continued expressing my interest in music, eventually learning how to play the piano, guitar, and a number of wind and brass instruments. You could say I had a passion for music.

Naturally, that passion for music got bored after a few years and needed a new way to express itself. While I was surfing the web one day, I came across a video on youtube on "how to make music beats". The guy that had made the video had a real knack for making beats and I became addicted to watching his videos.

One day, I worked up the guts to send this guy a message. I asked him how he got started with making beats, what programs did he use, and how he would recommend I get started myself. To my surprise, he sent me a message back later that day telling me about a website called Sonic Producer. He said it was perfect for beginners who want to start to make music beats, and that they have tons of videos just like his showing you how to get better at making them.

Well, to me every word this guy said was gospel so I headed over to the website to see what it was all about. After seeing that it would cost me only $29 for a membership there, I wanted in. I sent the guy a message back and said I didn't know if it would be worth it, because I had never dealt with these kinds of websites before. He sent me links to other websites that offered similar programs, and explained to me that in this industry most programs cost upward of $200.

He told me that the site offers more value than i expected: they give you thousands of free beats and samples to work with, give you free beat making lessons, and even if I am "unsure" they offer a 100% money back guarantee. After seeing the words "100% money back guarantee", I ponied up the $29 and got a membership.

I really haven't turned back since, I am still making beats with Sonic Producer, but now I actually get paid for it. In the past year my skills have got good enough to sell beats to artists. Now, I'm not selling them for a million a pop like Kanye West, but it's enough to keep some gas money in my pocket.

I never ended up using the money back guarantee, but I had to mention it because that was a major deciding factor for me. The fact that they offer a money back guarantee shows you that they are confident in the value they provide. Other programs and sites will not offer refunds because they know what they are selling is utter crap.

If you're like me and can't afford to get anything but the absolute most out of every dollar you spend and you want to make music beats, check out Sonic Producer. I've included some links for you to help you get started on your journey, they can be found throughout this article or down below in the authors box. Until next time, I hope you can get as much out of Sonic Producer as I have.
