Robert Maegh was born in 1945 in Germany, near the Swiss border, during the last weeks of World War II, where his parents were forced to work for the Nazi's. Shortly after, the war was over in Europe, and the family could return to Belgium. They lived at Antwerp, a big port in the Flemish part of Belgium (mother tongue is Flemish = Dutch).
Back in Belgium, Robert was an excellent student, graduated in High School and went to the University of Brussels to study mathematics. This didn’t work out however and he continued in Antwerp with studying Engineering. In 1996 he graduated in Mechanical Engineering.

Most of his career, he has been working in the construction business (refineries, power plants, pharmaceutical and chemical installations). He went through all the Staff functions: planning, cost control, supervising and finally General Superintendent and Construction Manager. He has executed jobs in Europe and overseas and has spent several years in Africa and Iran. Now, Robert works on a freelance base.

His real passion however, is and has always been history (especially the Middle East), mythology and politics.
With “A Holy Terror, novel which is a mixture of adventure and fiction, on a real- fact- background, he makes his first appearance in the “author’s-world”. A follow up of the book can soon be expected.
Robert is happily married, has left Antwerp and lives at the country side. He is a proud granddad of a beautiful granddaughter.
