Translation Equivalence (TE) and Different TheoriesThe familiarity with different theories of equivalence plays important role in translation field and for translation students. Equivalence is variously regarded as a necessary condition for translation, an obstacle to progress in translation studies, or useful category for describing translations. Translation Quality Assessment (TQA)Translation quality assessment is not an undisputed issue in TS.Nonetheless, it is interesting for empirical research about the translating process, since some features that are consistently related to quality could be then systematically investigated. problem seems to reside in how to express quality or what measure should be used for the quality of a translation.
