I decided to share my journey in the form of a spiritual autobiography. Looking at my life through the lens of spirituality, and spiritual growth, is just one way that I could have expressed my journey. This way of telling made sense for me. Perhaps it will make sense for you too?

In the early elementary grades a lot of learning in incidental. Children learn well by moving around in a space full of opportunities to speak, listen and try different things. A workbook or textbook assignment is better understood by young children when they get the chance to put what they've learned into action.

Without an understanding of the mathematical processes involved in problem solving the correct answers are meaningless. Math manipulatives help kids understand their answers. They help math make sense.
